Job DescriptionThe Logistics Manager will have responsibilities for all the global movement of stock and non-stock merchandise and material both imported and exported. He/She will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.The chosen candidate will also be responsible for accomplishing results through management of multiple teams or senior professionals; exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning - typically will be responsible for one or more departments. The Logistics Manager will ensure the execution and maintenance of practices, relationships and operations related to US Customs, duties, and harmony codes.Responsibilities:- Provide and maintain detailed reporting of all supply chain metrics- Find ways to improve Supply efficiency, reduce costs, and improve processes- Lead implementation of logistics policy for the division while ensuring business unit objectives and customer requirements are met or exceeded.- Lead a team of plant level logistics professionals to develop a high performance team that is focused on safety, continuous improvement, cost management and customer satisfaction- Work with Freight Forwarders to ensure timely movement of freight- Embody a safety first culture to include: partnering with suppliers on safety initiatives and compliance with all safety regulations and proceduresQualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree required- Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies to meet product arrival and project deadlines- Good interpersonal skills- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills- 3+ years experience with active management practices, including carrier management and negotiations ()
